Bring Gordon back from PR!

My son Gordon, who works remotely for the USPTO, moved to PR last December so he could live near the ocean. He loves to surf, he speaks fluent Spanish, and he loves the people of PR.
Due to the hurricane he wants to return back home, in DC, so he can continue to work and have the necessities of life. We have made many flight reservations and so far each flight has been canceled. I have one which is more resonable, but it is not until Oct. 12, 2017. Gordon still does not have power and he is running low on water. Gordon is very resourceful and he is probably helping people there. I do not see the situtaion getting better right now. For example; people are driving to the other side of the island to get water, from the mountains. They has to wait in long lines for gas. Right now his phone does not have service.
I do have a flight for him this Wednesday and the cost is $1790.00. It was suggested to me to start a "Go Fund Me" page. I hestiated and then I thought I would try it.
