<div>Unfortunately my brother <strong>Genry was deported to Guatemala</strong> on March 29, 2026. He has to start his life over—without a job, without resources, and, moreover, bearing the pain that our beloved mother passed away today. We still need your help so that Genry can start a dignified life in Guatemala after having been deported. This will also help cover the expenses that his detention and deportation have impacted financially on our family and his children.

<div>My name is Ilda, and I've worked cleaning houses. Unfortunately, my family has been impacted by the raids. I was six months pregnant when my family and I faced a situation that many families are sadly experiencing right now. Living it firsthand is not only painful but also financially difficult.

<div>On October 8, 2025, at approximately 7:10 a.m., my brother Genry Huinil, who is a day laborer who often waited for a job at the Hollywood Home Depot, was detained while walking to his car as he was about to pick up his 5-year-old son from his mother's house and take him to daycare. That day, his son's mother was left waiting because Genry never arrived for his son, as he did every morning. Although Genry no longer lived with his son's mother, they had a good relationship, and he not only contributed to his son's expenses but also made sure to take him to daycare every morning so that both he and his mother could go to work.

<div><strong>I am reaching out to you for help in freeing my brother.</strong> To this day, Genry does not have a lawyer to represent him. We obtained help for a legal consultation, but the most difficult part is to be able to pay a private lawyer to represent Genry and fight for his release. I am currently unemployed, and our family does not have the resources to pay for a private attorney and also to support Genry with money for phone calls and food while he is at the Adelanto Detention Center. <strong>Any donation you can make will mean a lot to our family, especially to Genry.</strong>

El tiene que comenzar su vida de nuevo, sin trabajo, sin recursos y ademas con el dolor de que hoy nuestra querida madre fallecio. Aun necesitamos de su ayuda para que Genry comience una vida digna en Guatemala despues de haber sido deportado.  Tambien ayudara a solventar los gastos que su detencion y deportacion ha impactado en nuestra familia y en sus hijos.

<div>En Octubre 8 de 2025 aproximadamente a las 7:10am mi hermano Genry Huinil, quien es un jornalero que muchas veces buscaba trabajo en el home depot de Hollywood, fue detenido mientras caminaba hacia su auto ya que iba a recoger a su hijo de 5 años a casa de su mamá y llevarlo a la guardería. Ese día, la mama de su hijo se quedo esperando porque Genry nunca llego por su hijo, como lo hacía cada mañana. Aunque Genry ya no vivía con la mamá de su hijo, ellos tenían buena relación y el no solo apoyaba para los gastos de su hijo pero también se encargaba de llevarlo cada mañana a la guardería para que tanto el cómo la mamá pudieran ir a trabajar.

<div><strong>Acudo a ustedes para que nos puedan ayudar a liberar a mi hermano.</strong> Hasta el día de hoy Genry no tiene un abogado que lo represente, obtuvimos ayuda para una consulta legal pero aun falta lo mas difícil, que es pagar un abogado privado para que represente a Genry y luche por su liberación. Yo no estoy trabajando en este momento, nuestra familia no cuenta con los recursos necesarios para pagar un abogado privado y además apoyar a Genry con dinero para hacer llamadas y comprar comida mientras esta en el centro de detención de Adelanto. <strong>Cualquier donación que ustedes puedan hacer va a significar mucho para nuestra familia, especialmente para Genry.</strong>
