Bring Frank the Stray Home

Donation protected

Hi Everyone!

I know this seems like a strange time to be asking folks for money, but I’m hoping some of you may be able to please help me out if you’re able to!

I moved into a house in August and what I didn’t know at the time is that the house came with a stray cat named Frank.

Frank spends all day and all night in my backyard and if he’s not sun bathing on the deck, he can be found taking a long snooze in the grass. Frank is super sweet and very friendly and he can’t get enough belly rubs. Frank will sit on my deck for hours staring in from the screen door, as if he’s asking to be let inside and it breaks my heart. He looks like an older cat who has been through a tough time but has still managed to stay so sweet!

I feed him as soon as I get home (go through the backyard and call his name) and this one night, he didn’t even want food, he wanted cuddles. He ran past his food and was flirting and meowing and fell to his back and wanted belly rubs. I couldn’t resist and he started purring! I love him and all I kept saying to him was “I’m doing my best.” Winter is fast approaching and I can’t bear to watch him sit out there in the cold!

The problem? I have a cat of my own, Xander Harris and I’m not able to financially support what it would cost to get Frank up to date and neutered before I take him into my home. Due to the pandemic, I’ve had a hard time getting a hold of Humane Societies. Many of them are no longer accepting animals/ and are not able to help right now.

I spoke to my amazing vet clinic and they were able to give me a cost breakdown of what it would take to bring Frank home:

FULL DISCLOSURE: Unfortunately, I am not in a financial position to take Frank in if it turns out that he has ONGOING health issues. BUT you would still be helping him either way by getting him up to date and off the streets for adoption. My vet clinic said that if he has other issues that I’m not able to manage, they will help me find him a home. If by me fostering him for a bit or by them taking him in, Frank will find a furever family. But the initial and hopeful goal is that I get to be his mommy.

Anything you might be able to contribute would be so greatly appreciated by me and by Frank! Xander Harris is a little hesitant but I know he’s looking forward to having a big brother.

Thank you in advance for your help!
