Bring Don Home

Donation protected

On April 10, 2017, Donald Ault suffered a massive brain hemorrhage. Most people do not even survive this type of brain trauma much less recover. His right side was paralyzed; he could not speak, eat or swallow; he required watchful 24/7 care. Four months later he can move his right leg, his right arm is waking up, he feeds himself three meals a day, he is learning to talk and occasionally utters complete sentences! His recovery has been nothing short of miraculous.
Insurance has covered part of his medical bills but they are now saying that his progress has slowed and they will no longer pay for him to be in a skilled nursing facility nor will they pay for rehab. That means he's coming home! Yay!
But wait... Don lives with his wife in a tiny rustic cabin that he built. It is not handicap accessible or appropriate. It can not be expanded or remodeled.
This brings us to our plea. We need to build a little house that is appropriate for Don's needs. We have laborers who have volunteered to help us once we get the funds together for the building materials. Please help us provide Don with a safe, comfortable home where he can continue his recovery and be on the land with his wife, kids and grandkids. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

PS- we will be sure to include in the plans a nice big porch where we can entertain Don with music!!
