<div>My name is Daniel DeRey. I am a professional actor, playwright, and producer born and raised here in Michigan.

<div>This December I am staging my play "Mackers the Elf" at Planet Ant Theatre in Hamtramck, Michigan. I will be directing the script that I have wrote with Planet Ant Theatre collaborating with my own theatre brand "Mystic Heroes Theatre". The show runs December 12-14 and 18-21 this year at Planet Ant.

<div>Mackers the Elf is a Christmas dark comedy based on William Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play follows a young elf named Mackers who after receiving a strange prophecy from three witches and being convinced by his manipulative wife, Susan, decides to murder Santa Claus to take place as the head of Christmas. In achieving his new power he finds himself facing off against the Easter Bunny, who acts and talks like Walking Dead's Negan, the hard nosed Detective looking into Santa's murder, and even Tim Burton. The play is Rated R for violence and language.

<div>I am looking for donations to go towards set pieces, costume and props, emergency funds for unexpected problems, and also a puppet that is necessary for the production.
