Bring Clean Water to the Sefwi Obeng-Mim Community

Donation protected

Sefwi Obeng-Mim is a farming community in Juabeso District in the Western Region of the Republic of Ghana. The community is located in the middle of the Krokosue Forest Reserve under Sefwi Wiawso Traditional area, one of the biggest forest reserves in Ghana. The Obeng - Mim Stool lands have about 1,500 people, many who are subsistent cocoa farmers. Due to the location of the community, it is difficult in accessing the basic developmental project from the central government, such as providing safe and clean potable water.

On behalf of the people and the elders, HRH Oheneba Nana Kwame Obeng II, Chief of Obeng-Mim Community, seeks your generosity to help to construct one borehole for the people to solve the lack of access to drinking water in the area.

The Total Project Cost is $5,000.

This Campaign will be in 2 phases:
Phase 1: Digging the Well ($2,500, which is the cost of the digging equipment and labor).
Phase 2: Plumbing the Well ($2,500, the cost of laying the pipe, fixing the pipe, and labor).

I am a Presbyterian Church (USA) Pastor in Wisconsin and I am working with the Oheneba Nana to raise funds and promote education, healthcare, tourism and development projects in the kingdom. Donors worldwide are contributing, many who are part of the Royal Order of the Golden Fire Dog.
