I have the greatest opportunity to ask for you help in supporting the BEAUTIFUL Yawanawa tribe who live as guardians of the Amazon rainforest in Acre Brazil along the Rio (river) Gregorio.
My partner David and I have been gifted by the creator to be there the past month and a half, living with the tribe, and dieting with the sacred medicines of Uni (Ayahuasca), Hapé, and Kapu (Kambo). We have experienced DEEP beauty, healing, and remembrance from the pulse of life force that moves through this family, their songs, and their connection with the land.
There are many villages (Aldeias) of the Yawanawa people along the Rio Gregorio, and during our stay we were in Aldeia Amparo (Amparo translates to support in Portuguese) . Aldeia Amparo is a smaller and newer village of around 300 people. They are just now building more spaces to receive friends and visitors from other lands to come and diet and experience retreats with them. It is such a gift to be apart of the beginning phases of this sacred development.
Our new friend Tika, is a spiritual leader in this village. He is 57 years old and has a beautiful wife named Vesku, and they have 9 children together. Throughout many ceremonies and in between moments, Tika, his wife, and his children have been with us, steadfast, through the inward journeys we have ventured on. They shared medicine, shared their incredible voices, and shared the gentleness and kindness of their hearts.
Tika and his family have set off on a new project the past months to build a home for their family on their own land, a bit of a way up the river from the main village. Tika intends to use this space to continue leading diets for the beautiful souls that feel called to this work. It will also serve as a gathering place for his family and the generations to come.
The water quality on their piece of land is poor. Typically the Yawanawa are sourcing their water from a cleaner untouched river here in the Amazon, but Tika's land is farther away from this river. To continue with the project, Tika is in need of healthy drinking water. His solution is to dig down deep into the Earth and create a well. To do this, it will cost around $2,700 USD, which he does not currently have access to. The beautiful souls and new friends that have been here the past 45 days with us for this diet, have chosen to help raise this money so that they can drink clean and safe water.
So we now ask for your help.
These people are carriers of medicine needed for the whole globe. Helping them allows the medicine of the master plants and their rich Yawanawa culture to continue being shared with more and more people, who will then go back out into their home communities and carry the remembrance within their hearts of what is possible for humanity.
ANY donation is appreciated and welcomed with gratitude.
Thank you! Gratidão! Askanu! Yihuuuu
