D13 LiveMusicEvents: facebook.com/d13livemusicevents   Instagram: d13livemusicevents Hi, I'm Rick Blackburn/ D13 Live Music Events. I'm a small non-profit, christian rock promoter here in Winston Salem, NC. My desire and dream, is to provide a music ministry/outreach for the youth and young adults in our community. As with most small non-profits, our financial situation is very limited. WE NEED YOUR HELP. We want to show the youth in our area, we DO love them and we DO care! We want to provide them with music, entertainment, food and message. ALL funds will go to book bands, feed the bands and youth on concert night.  Any leftover funds will go towards our next outreach! This is an amazing opportunity for youth driven music ministry and I'm begging you to join me in bringing more Christian rock bands to NC.  We need this. Our kids need this. God will be exalted and He will bless every penny donated! ______________________________________ A little about me: Im married to the most awesome woman in the world and we have 5 kids...2 boys & 3 girls. All 3 of my teenage daughters play in the church praise and worship band every Sunday. I have always loved live music and played music all my life. I'm partial to loud & heavy, christian/spiritually-based rock. I'm talking about bands that do this as a love for God, that barely make any money being on the road, do not get any airplay on christian pop radio and get no support from their record company. If you've been in this for any length of time, you know the bands I'm talking about. Some of my favorite memories are seeing great bands like Disciple, Justifide, ThousandFootKrutch, Junker Jorg, The Benjamin Gate, Building 429, Bride, FamilyForce5 at the old Cafe Jam coffee shop in Greensboro, NC with my oldest son Chase. We'd walk outta that place, ears ringing, big smiles, neck hurting from headbanging. I felt like the coolest dad in the world! I can't begin to tell you how many young people, I witnessed, come to know Christ, by being drawn to that loud music, then see the guys slowly put down their guitars, walk off stage and the singer says, "Let me tell you about this man that died on a cross and changed my life forever." Chase and I still talk about those shows. I want my youngest son and 3 teenage daughters to experience that. I want our local teens to experience that. My dream and prayer is to bring more live music events like this, back to our area. NC is a very tough market for music these days, small venues and even in some churches that used to support it. I dont know what happened, but I want this generation to have that again. Good clean fun, loud music with a message.
