AFL Québec and Northern Lights player Valérie Moreau has moved across the world to pursue an Australian football career, but while playing her first practice match for VFL Women's side St Kilda, she was struck down with a cruel ACL injury.
While reeling from her injury, she was struck with another blow, her family in Montréal had been evacuated after their home was flooded.
This fundraiser is to help Val recuperate the costs of a expensive flights to help her family, and the costs associated with the injury.
"Family comes first," says Val.
"I’ve made them go through a lot already with my move to Australia and my
injury, so it’s my turn now to be there for them.”
