Bring Back the Bikes for Sylvie

For those of you who know Sylvie, you know she loves bikes more than all other things. She has spent years of her life devoted to sharing her love of bikes with other and empowering people with multitools. She has fixed up or gifted bikes to more folks than I can count.

The fact that four of her beloved bikes were stolen a few weeks ago is tragic, not just because of the monetary loss but because of the love and energy she pours into everything she does surrounding bikes. And for those of you who don't know, the Colnago pictured above belonged to our mom. We kept it for years after she passed unsure of what to do with it. Sylvie had finally fixed it up and made it her own in order to honor my mom's spirit just days before it was stolen. So this loss is emotional as well, even if she's playing it cool.

And although we can't get all her bikes back, we can help in a small way this Christmas by gifting her some funding to buy some of the things that were taken from her. This includes pedals, tools, a saddle bag, potentially a derailleur since the bike theft coated her entire Bianchi in black paint. As long as I've known Sylvie, which is my whole life, she has never wanted gifts for the holidays or her birthday but I know it would mean the world to her for us to show our support right now.

I know Covid has taken a toll on all of us so I ask you to give what you feel comfortable giving. Even $2 will make a difference. Maybe the cost of filling up a tank of gas or buying lunch. Whatever it is, it will mean so much coming from YOU!
