Brigy’s Battle
Donation protected
Thank you to the friends and family of the Koivulas who have expressed their willingness to help and have inquired as to how they can do so. While the family truly appreciates all of the gifts and meals, many people have asked what more they can do.
At this point, many things are unknown as far as expenses and care for Brigy, so a go fund me is being set up for the family to use for Brigston’s care.
In addition to the physical limitations due to being in and out of the hospital, chemo therapy treatments may cause regression in Brigston’s development. Adding that to the time away from therapy sessions and time out of preschool, there is concern that Brigston may fall behind. Even once he is able to leave the hospital, he will be unable to venture out of the house as his immune system is severely compromised. Due to this, the family is looking at setting up home schooling for a while and at home therapy that may not be covered by insurance.
Any funds received could help go toward school supplies and setting up a room at home for Brigy to thrive in, teachers and therapists to help with his development, in addition to any further medical care he will be needing.
It truly takes a village and every little bit helps. At a time like this when a child is fighting a huge battle, the last thing a family should have to worry about is money. We thank you all immensely for your thoughts, prayers and support.
