Brighton Cooking Club

We facilitate peer-to-peer partnerships across the city. This involves volunteers cooking an extra portion of food, or cooking specifically for people in need such as

- Those in temporary accommodation
- NHS workers and key workers, and their families
- Self-isolating people and families
- The elderly and vulnerable

Lots of these people will find that having a nutritious home-cooked meal is harder during this stressful time, we support them by finding people to cook them up to 3 meals a week, making sure they are well-fed, something so important for immune systems.

We have been making a real difference, with over 200 members, so far, we have been paying out of our own pockets for ingredients, containers for the food, transport and maintenance of our phone lines. With our growing community, this is becoming too much of a burden on us.

We would love to continue growing and only need a small amount to allow this

Your support means that more families, individuals, and NHS workers will have access to home-cooked meals, no matter their circumstances.

This contribution will mean that we can grow and continue supporting more people

Thank you so much for you time
