Brighton Bengal Weight-room

Donation protected

Brighton High School is an urban school located in the City of Boston.  Brighton High School is currently in level 4 turnaround status and serves an urban student population composed of over 40% English Language Learners. BHS also has the highest percentage of homeless students in any Boston public school.  Currently our weight room is a mess. It consists of (1) flat bench, (1) half rack squat stand, and a couple of weight machines from the late 1970’s or early 1980’s.

Our vision is to begin building a comprehensive weight and exercise room that all Physical Education students and BHS athletes can make use of and share. Our athletic teams are highly competitive despite the poor condition of our weight training facility. We would like to give our PE students and athletes the opportunity to rise to the next level.

Your donations will pay for the following pieces of equipment:

5 squat racks (about $350 each)
6 incline benches (about $90 each)
6 flat benches (about $90 each)
3 easy curl bars (about $30 each)
4 weight trees (about $160 each)
7 regular bars (about $110 each)
Miscellaneous equipment (about $400)

Thank you from the Brighton High School Community.
