Ample Access Outdoors wants to make nature accessible and enjoyable for people living in marginalized bodies!

Our goal is to offer accessible guided recreational activities and community-building events that ensure everyone can experience and enjoy the beauty and benefits of nature.

We will:

Dismantle barriers that mean limited accessible options for outdoor activities

Focus on inclusivity, adaptability, and safety

Foster a love of nature within a diverse community

To bring this vision to life, we're embarking on a fundraising campaign to cover essential costs such as legal fees, program development, building an online presence, and other foundational expenses.

The Challenge:

A significant portion of our society faces barriers to outdoor participation.

A lack of recreational services that accommodate all body types and needs to societal and infrastructural obstacles that hinder full participation.

Inadequate Size-Inclusive Equipment: A lack of available equipment that accommodates larger body sizes, such as plus-size hiking apparel, camping gear, or bicycles.

Lack of Adaptive Equipment: The absence of adaptive equipment for individuals with disabilities such as all-terrain wheelchairs, adaptive bicycles, or tactile maps for the blind or low-visioned.

Limited Physical Accessibility: Parks, trails, and camping sites may not have the necessary adaptations for individuals with mobility needs, such as wheelchair-accessible paths or facilities.

Ample Access Outdoors wants to provide solutions to these challenges!
