Preschool Opening

Hello! My name is Teria Mosby. Since the age of 7, I have loved education, mainly because of my mother and father. I would teach anything that would listen. My love of teaching has allowed me to obtain both my Bachelor and Master Degrees in Education. I am originally from Los Angeles, California, however, 8 years ago I moved to Memphis, Tennessee. My first job here in Tennessee was working with children in the inner-city. I quickly noticed that the students were behind in their education. For example, I worked with High School students who possessed a third grade reading level. I was rocked to my core. Since this realization, it has been on my heart to close the learning gap. My motto is, "be the change you want to see". Since I would like to see a change in the way children are educated, I have decided to open a Preschool. You might ask, "Why Preschool?" Well, research says that “most children get behind in learning at 18 months". I am moving toward closing this gap. I plan to do so by providing a quality education for students in my sphere of influence. It is my hope that you would support me in my effort to open a Preschool that will push students to close the educational gap that keeps them from becoming the best they can be.

The Donations will be used to:
Secure, redesign, and inspect a facility.

Donations will also cover: Materials and curriculum (i.e.website, school supplies, copier, manipulatives, technology, furniture, etc.)
