Bridge the Gap: Fuel My Dream of a Safe Vehicle!

Hello, kind-hearted souls! I'm here to share a story that began with hope, took a detour through disappointment, and is now on a path to redemption. My name is Evangelista, and I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to help me regain my dream and transform it into reality.

A Dream Dashed:

Picture August 2023 – a time of promises and excitement. Eager to embark on journeys that would forever bind me with my tribe, I took a leap of faith and acquired a car from a private seller. With every intention of exploring new horizons and creating cherished memories, I believed in every word spoken. Yet, reality struck hard as the car turned out to be a broken and unsafe vessel. The seller vanished, leaving me stranded with shattered dreams and a vehicle that seemed beyond repair. Desperation led me to the police and the district court, only to be told that my only way forward was to resell the car and be more cautious next time.

A Path to Redemption:

Facing adversity head-on, I've chosen a path of honesty and accountability. My commitment is to resell the car at a fair price, disclosing every imperfection I've discovered, thanks to the guidance of the garage. However, this journey comes with a price – I've already invested 2.100 Euros for registration, checks, fuel, and a toll sticker. The numbers don't lie, and I'm facing a financial gap of at least 700 Euros. This is where I turn to you, my fellow dreamers, for the support I need to bridge this gap and resurrect my dream.

More Than Just a Car:

For me, a car is not merely a mode of transportation; it's a symbol of upward mobility and access to a class system that felt out of reach. Raised by a strong, single Black mother in Austria, I understand the complexities of societal structures intimately. As I pursued a driver's license, I felt, for example, the sting of not having access to private training resources. These challenges often set me apart as the only young Black individual striving for success. But I persevered, earning my driver's license last year after years of perseverance.

A Vision of Unity:

Beyond the metal and mechanics, a car represents a bridge to connect hearts and souls. It's the vehicle that allows me to care for my two beloved kittens, to be there for my aging mother, and to unite with my tribe. Public transport often falls short of reaching these connections, and a reliable car can pave the way for us to share passions, uplift one another, and drive towards a more just society.
