<div>Illinois State Trooper, Brian Frank (my amazing husband) has been in recovery for over two years from his severe TBI, acquired while in the line of duty during a blizzard on Feb 15, 2021. He remains in a minimally conscious state and we have been advocating for the best care and treatment possible to see him through. After purchasing a new home, all kinds of supplies and various 'alternative medicine' devices, changing his diet, and keeping him in multiple therapies, we are ready to push our comfort zone and try something new and innovative.

<div>Brian has been accepted for treatment at the NeuroSolutions clinic in Austin, TX! Dr. Brandon Crawford and his team have dedicated their lives to helping this underserved community of patients with brain injuries. They believe people are more aware and 'there' than what we can perceive. All along, I have believed in Brian and have had hope for him. I know he is in there, and we just need a team that believes with us and has the abilities and tools to help him emerge.

<div>My call with Dr. Crawford was the first one of its kind. It was gentle, loving, attentive, and full of positivity. For me to be excited to pack up our things and drive 17hours, with Brian in this current state, is unreal to me. I don't like long distance road trips &amp; I'm extremely protective and worried about Brian always. Putting him in transit is scary...but him remaining in this state of consciousness forever is scarier. So I decided it's time to face another fear and give this treatment in Austin a chance. The potential reward far outweighs the risk.
