Lancaster (Ohio) Police Department Lieutenant Brian W. Lowe, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2018, in Lancaster. Brian was born in Akron, Ohio, and grew up in Canal Fulton, Ohio.

Brian was a proud member of the United States Army, and served as a Paratrooper during Operation Desert Storm.

Brian was a dedicated law enforcement officer for nearly 25 years, with the majority of that time spent with the Lancaster Police Department. During his tenure with LPD, Brian served in the roles of patrol officer, detective, hostage negotiator, instructor, and shift supervisor after being promoted to Sergeant. Then, in 2017, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He was soon assigned to the Detective Bureau and Community Services Unit as Commander. He was serving in that capacity at the time of his death.

Brian's passing was without warning and has been devastating to those he leaves behind, particularly to his wife and two young children. Brian was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, friend, and law enforcement officer.

Brian was a long-tenured member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #50, Lancaster, Ohio. We wish to do our part in honoring him by raisings funds for his wife to help aid in the care of her and their children during this extremely painful and difficult time.
