Cancer Benefit for Uncle Brian

Brian had surgery back in November 2016 to remove what at the time was thought to be a thyroid nodule. When The biopsy came back on December 2nd we were informed that it was a well differentiated Liposarcoma.  We were fortunate to get a referral to MD Anderson after visiting a less than stellar specialist in Dallas. Since the referral we have been going to Houston every couple of months for scans and follow up with a wonderful team of Doctors.  It has been determined that there is still a small tumor in his neck but that for now it is best to just monitor it since it doesn't appear to be changing too much. 


Liposarcoma is pretty rare and even more so in the neck. It is not treated like any other type of cancer and options depend on the sub type. For now our biggest concern is recurrence and that it doesn't evolve into into something more complicated.

This fund will help with travel and living expenses in Houston during his surgery and time of treatment as well as cover any loss of income.
