Support Effertz Family Needs

Donation protected

My brother-in-law, Brian Effertz, was admitted to University Hospital in Columbia, MO on July 2nd following a Fly-Board accident.

Brian Effertz had an MRI and they have found a brain injury due to a loss of oxygen caused by the various stresses his body has incurred during hospitalization.

Brian's family has immediate financial needs resulting from the accident and ancillary out-of-pocket expenses such as lodging, food, travel, etc. Many of these expenses have already occurred and coming due soon. More expenses are expected in the days and weeks ahead.

All campaign funds collected, after GoFundMe 5% and credit card transaction fees, will be received and deposited directly in a Brian Effertz's family account.

We thank you in advance for your generous contributions. Susan and kids are very grateful for your support and meeting their "goal" yesterday.

That said, if this situation were a marathon, we'd just now be coming out of the starting block. We really do not know where this is going and how long Brian's family will need support. Brian has now moved to long term rehabilitation in Lincoln NB. He is expected to be in their care for an extended period of time.

So, while we may have met our initial goal, please keep encouraging your friends to support him and his family as he fights to recover from his tragic injury.

For more frequent updates on Brian's condition and progress, please follow Mary Richmond Haggerty's Facebook posts.
