I plan to compete in the Veteran's World Championship Wrestling Tournament in Plovdiv, Bulgaria . I have previously wrestled in the World Championships in Athens, Greece in 2015, and multiple times at the National Championsihps in Las Vegas, NV. Extra moneys will go to the the scholarship fund:
I've set up a scholarship fund in memory of my son Ian in the hope that another young person will get the opportunity to enjoy the sport of wrestling as Ian did.
Ian was a remarkable child whose exuberance for life was second to none. His enthusiastic nature was contagious to all around him. Whether wrestling down a science project or an opponent on the mat, this much loved student, athlete, friend, big brother, and son saw each of life's challenges as an opportunity to better himself. He saw the bright side in every situation, and the light of his own happiness wasn't in winning -- although winning was fun--it was in knowing that he had done his best.
And every day he did just that. The Ian Jones Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to provide opportunities for wrestlers who demonstrate, in words and in actions, a commitment to the pillars of character that defined and inspired Ian in his life.
