Brian's fight to accessible driving

Donation protected
For those who don’t know me or the situation I live with, I am 23 years old, striving for my college degree, and am living with a neurological muscular disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). I require a wheelchair to go about my daily life. With the minimal, physical capabilities my body still has, I am very limited in how independent I can actually be, but a vehicle that has the assistance of hand controls and an accessible ramp will grant me my independence and freedom. I have made a lot of progress towards earning this achievement. I recently passed both of my driving tests and will offically have a Drivers License. Living with SMA has set back my ability to grow in the direction of my dreams tremendously. I finally have a chance to gain more independence from relying on others to transport me whenever I have class, volunteering, etc. However, I am struggling financially to save enough money to afford my very first vehicle. Obtaining this kind of vehicle will grant me the freedom to go about my daily life and go out into this world independently just as any average adult is able to do.
