Brian Webbers Spinal Surgery

As many of you know Brian was forced into disability retirement earlier this year from a job that he loved due to complications from an accident that happened back in 2012 while on the job as a firefighter.  The accident caused severe spine problems and debilitating headaches.  Every doctor we seen told him they couldn't help him.  He was continually told that his case was so complicated that his spine condition was just not operable.  He would just have to take pain medication and live with it.  Now, his Work Comp will only pay for his pain medication and no further testing, procedures or surgeries.  (I know right!)  
We finally received the news that the Laser Spine Institute in St. Louis can and will help him.  He will have one surgery but will have 2 different procedures during that surgery.  The surgeries total cost is $31,000 and our medical insurance will not pay any of it because they are out of network.  We have to have at least $5,000 up front before they will do the surgery.  The other $5000 will go towards our travel and other out of pocket expenses and the balance of the surgery.

Brian has spent the last 25 years serving his and other surrounding communities as a Firefighter, EMT and a Firefighter Instructor.  This surgery just might allow him to get a little bit of his life back.
