Brewers Going Bald @ Shaftesbury Fringe

Donation protected
The Ye Olde Two Brewers will be going Bald....... Yes, BALD for charity during the Shaftesbury Fringe. This is a brave thing to do, and for some of the team will be a massive thing.
Several team members have volunteered to go bald on Sunday 24th July at 3:15 PM for good causes. This will take place in the garden of the Pub, and it is hoped we can raise lots of money on the day through the collection on the day and on here. The intention is to go live (Facebook) whilst the team is going through the transition from hairy to hairless. Names will be released soon.
We have decided to fundraise on Go Funding Page and collection on the day, and it is hoped to raise money for four different charities. We all have our opinion on who to support; therefore, we thought that choosing four different charities would be a fair and representative approach.

The charities are as follows -

1. Dorset Minds -
Dorset Minds: is a pioneering local charity that educates, challenges mental health stigma and inequality, and promotes recovery by empowering individuals to develop resilience. With 1-2-1 and group support, that includes counselling and accredited befriending service, help adults and young people recover from and maintain their mental health. They deliver educational wellbeing programmes for schools and workplaces and provide volunteer opportunities across all areas of the organisation.

2. Dorset Air Ambulance
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is a registered charity established to provide relief from sickness and injury for the people of Dorset and Somerset by providing an air ambulance with an air and road-delivered critical care capability. They receive no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery and rely on the generosity of the public for support. The operational costs are over £5 million a year and the approximate cost per mission is £3,000.
3. BooBs
BooBs - Shaftesbury Breast Cancer Awareness that aim to raise awareness of breast cancer in women and men and teach how to check your breasts to help early detection.
Not only is our aim to promote awareness but also to support women, men and their families who have been or are going through treatment. They can help financially with the added costs of going for treatment and appointments and also for costs of wigs, mastectomy bras etc.

4. Blue Cross
A charity that has been helping sick, injured, abandoned and homeless pets since 1897. Pets help us in so many ways and they depend entirely on us. That’s why at Blue Cross they believe in helping pets because pets help us.
They have helped thousands of pets in need every month, providing veterinary care, expert behaviour help and find them loving happy homes, as well as advice and education for current or future pet owners and pet bereavement support. They develop lifelong relationships with pets and owners, providing quality care that is accessible and non-judgemental. With your support they can give back to more pets in need.
