Brevik's BIG Heart

At our 20 week ultrasound Nick and I found out that Brevik has an abnormally large heart. This condition is called; Right Atrium Appendage Aneurysm. Knowing his condition at such an early stage in our pregnancy gave us the advantage of being proactive. As time went on we decided to switch doctors and deliver at the UofM, for the safety of our baby in case there were any cardiovascular issues at the time of birth. With weekly ultrasounds to monitor growth & heart beat we were assured this was the best approach.
A year later we are still doing bi-monthly EKG and echos to monitor the growth of this condition. At our last appointment, surgery has yet to be ruled out. With bills piling up, and being on one income we are asking for help. With surgery possibly in site we are trying to get financially prepared which we cannot do on our own.
With this being said, our son is no different from the others, he is hitting all of his mildstones and warms our heart with all the joy he brings.
