Hello!
My name is Bretony. I moved to NYC in 2009 with a dollar and a dream just like everyone else. My rent shockingly went up in ONE year way more than I could pay, and I had to suddenly move out of my living situation. It left me homeless for about 3 months until I went out of the city to work for the summer and save up money...just to LIVE.
Coming back to the city with all of my savings, I convinced a landlord in Brooklyn that I could pay rent at my own one bedroom apartment. Now I am looking to move to an apartment with my best friend. Rent in NYC has truly gotten ridiculous. The rent goes up, but salaries do not. I would like to campaign for donations towards rent of an apartment/ studio space for a year, so I can work full time on my production startup as well as promoting and expanding my blog to inspire others around the world. By providing funds for a living/workspace I can devote all of my time and energy to work on my brand and productions.
My blog inspires everyone to live their life without becoming a slave to society. I would like to lead by example, and go into business for myself instead of being stuck in jobs that I do not care for or believe in.
