Brent’s Fight

On March 1, 2018, our husband, father, friend, son, brother, coworker, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.  Brent is currently being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He has endured multiple surgeries and hospitalizations since the initial diagnosis. In July, he was slated to start an immunotherapy clinical trial targeted at his specific cell mutation (HER2), but that trial was sidelined due to an infection that he developed, which resulted in a 17 day hospital stay in NYC. Brent had to be transported to Sloan-Kettering by ambulance.  Currently, he’s on the second most aggressive chemo therapy regimen, which involves traveling to New York City every other week for infusion. 

Hollie, Brent's wife, is travelling back and forth to NYC while maintaining their home, finances, career and four children; Emma, Sophie, Claire and Jack.  The Deshaies recently had to purchase a new vehicle so that Brent is comfortable during the Plattsburgh to NYC commute.  Four-year-old Jack, has been unable to make any of their trips to NYC which has put much stress on this family.  

Your donations would help with travel expenses,  medical expenses not covered by insurance, NYC hotels, meals and the SUV they purchased.  Your help is much needed for this sweet family.  They need to maintain their home for their four year old son while fighting for Brent's life.  Please help in any way you can.  There is no donation that is too small.  Thank you!
