Our friend and brother in Christ, Brent Warren, needs our help.

Brent was diagnosed with cancer on one of his vocal chords in July of 2023. He was treated with radiation and was out of work until the first of the year 2024. After three weeks back on the job, he was terminated. He was unemployed for 3 months and began a new job he enjoyed in April 2024. In October 2024, his throat began swelling shut and he required a tracheostomy. Biopsies taken at the time, gave a diagnosis of cancer of the larynx. Shortly after, he went into Afib and SVT’s. Blood clots were discovered. Due to blood clots, he is unable to have a Laryngectomy and will need chemotherapy until surgery can be tolerated. This could take 3-6 months or more. He is currently on a feeding tube since swallowing is an issue. He has lost a significant amount of weight and is very weak. Unpaid medical leave will expire on 12/26/2024, and he will again be unemployed and without insurance. His job requires lots of telephone calls and he currently has no voice.

Brent sees a Cardiologist, Oncologist, and a surgical ENT at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital on a regular basis. He requires many tests and scans. He was denied disability from his work insurance, due to this being a pre-existing condition. He is trying to get on Social Security disability while going through treatments and surgery, but that also takes a lot of time. His wife is trying to work fulltime while also being a fulltime caregiver. If you are unable to give, please lift him and his family up in prayer.

Being extended family, we felt the situation warranted the opportunity for people to help a family in need.
