Brent McCune: A Better & Healthier Quality of Life
Donation protected
Brent McCune is a devoted husband, loving father of four children, and the dedicated Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Sunrise Beach, Missouri. For the last decade and a half, Brent has suffered with an autoimmune disorder causing great fatigue and pain along with many other difficult symptoms. To combat numerous strong drugs (some with significant risks and side effects) have been used, and for a very long time he has relied on prednisone to help control his symptoms.
While everyone hopes that someday there might be a new cutting-edge drug to totally cure Brent, after such a long time of waiting, it appears increasingly unlikely. So, at this point, the goal is to determine the best long-term medications and treatments to increase his quality of life so that he can most fully love and serve his wife, children and church.
To find these answers, Brent is going to be visiting the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, in June for a wide-ranging review of his medical history along with tests to help determine potential treatment plans that can help situate Brent to have the energy and physical wellbeing he so very much needs.
Much of this cost has to be paid from his own pocket, and being the pastor of a small Southern Baptist church in the Lake of Ozarks region and a father to four means that financial burden is going to be quite difficult.
Fortunately, lodging and travel have already been covered, but the cost of the Mayo Clinic itself remains, and we need your help to ensure that a great financial burden is not added to the already difficult physical, emotional and spiritual burden that has come through his illness.
You can help in three ways:
1. Pray that the doctors at the Mayo Clinic would act with the wisdom and knowledge needed to provide Brent with the best care possible, and that Brent and his wife Michelle would be able to make wise decisions in what further steps to take.
2. Share the need Brent and his family are experiencing right now so that others would be able to support him, as well.
3. Give through this gofundme account so that his bills would be fully covered allowing him to focus more fully on his physical wellbeing and the care of his wife, children and church.
We're all so grateful for the care being shown to Brent right now by physicians, his church congregation, his friends and family, and others who only know Brent from a distance, and we look forward to what God has in store for him and his family.
