Brennan Yeater Recovery Fund

Early Thanksgiving morning while on the job, our friend, Brennan Yeater, was hit head on by a drunk driver. His left hip (pelvis)  was shattered and his left knee has a puncture wound. His right wrist, hand, and fingers are broken and his right leg, ankle, and toes are broken. He suffered facial lacerations and a broken orbital bone. Fortunately, Brennan was transported immediately to West Virginia University Ruby Memorial Hospital, a level one trauma center.  Miraculously, he did not have any traumatic brain, neck, or spinal injuries. However, after several surgeries he is presently non weight bearing on both sides of his body.  

Although he is on his way to recovery, he has a long and expensive road ahead.  He will probably be in a rehabilitation center for at least six months up to a year with the strong possibility of more surgeries in his future.  Although Brennan has a very long road ahead to recovery, he is determined to walk again.

As it stands, medical insurance will only put a small dent in all of the present and ongoing expenses. Not mentioning all the miscellaneous expenses, initial transportation by ambulance, emergency room costs, five surgeries to date, additional ambulance transports to follow up with his many doctors, months of rehabilitation ahead, on top of not being able to take classes or earn an income while recovering, is only the top of the iceberg. Once able to return home, he is going to need special equipment, home care, and ongoing physical therapy.


No one is ever prepared for something so devasting.  We would like to thank all of you that have sent your concerns and prayers. It is very much needed and appreciated. That is where we, his friends, want to pull together and show our love and support by helping with this immense financial burden. All proceeds will go directly to Brennan and his family.  Your support and generosity will be greatly appreciated.
