Brenna Romines was unlucky enough to be the victim of car accident. She was hit on 60th street west and Avenue F going Northbound on her way to her daughter when she was struck by a young woman in her Lexus who ran a stop sign at a very high speed. She made attempts to get out of the way but it wasn't enough as it happened too fast. After impact she remembers rolling and hitting a telephone poll, completely shattering it and her spine. Her brother who was in the car with her has several broken ribs and severe muscle strains but is ultimately going to make a full recovery. She is in the hospital fighting every day to get back to her daughter, as she attained several broken vertebrae and a severed spine. Brenna is unable to feel her legs and it is estimated she will not be able to walk again. Right now she sits in the hospital in severe pain unable to move and all the while maintaining her composure for the people around her.
This is a girl who at every corner, puts others first. Before this she was the provider of her brother, a nonverbal disabled adult and sole provider of her daughter and mother. Every day she worked to make sure her daughter was growing to be a beautiful woman and give love to every individual in her life. There is no one in the world that encapsulates generous, loving, and kindhearted more than Brenna Romines. She is unable to support her family in her state and is in fear of the future. Because of this incident she has to give up on her future career in nursing and miss out on the growth of her child while she recovers. Brenna Romines, a mother/sister/daughter/girlfriend/and friend to so many needs the help and generosity of those who are in a position to help. Anything that is donated goes straight to seeing her safe and healthy and keeping her and her daughter on a safe and happy life. This is extremely urgent that she gets the treatment and support she deserves, anything helps.
So far she has been in the hospital a couple of days under excruciating pain, with the company of all of the people she impacted. She will need to have several surgeries and years of rehab in the best of cases and this is a start to easing the stress and fear she has accumulated watching her dreams fall apart. So please, if you can help in any way we would be extremely grateful.
