<div>Onze missie is om jeugd in zowel Nederland als Zuid-Afrika kennis te laten maken met rugby, omdat wij geloven dat deze sport verbindt, opvoedt en toekomstperspectief biedt aan kinderen die het buiten hun schuld om minder getroffen hebben.

<div>Het Great Kei Schools Rugby Tournament brengt hoop, sport en kansen naar jongeren in de arme landelijke gebieden van de Eastern Cape.

<div>In 2025 deden 270 kinderen van negen scholen mee aan de eerste editie, vaak op blote voeten, maar met een lewenskrag waar je u tegen zegt.

<div>In 2026 willen we groeien naar 12 teams, inclusief meisjesrugby, en meer dan 300 spelers bereiken.
</div>

<div>Voor deze jongeren is rugby veel meer dan een spel. Het geeft discipline, verbondenheid, zelfvertrouwen en zicht op een betere toekomst.

<div>Om dit mogelijk te maken hebben we steun nodig voor materialen, kleine maaltijden, EHBO, veiligheid, wedstrijdshirts en organisatorische kosten. Daarnaast gaan we het project documenteren en een uitwisselingsprogramma opzetten tussen Nederland en Zuid-Afrika.
