Brenden Woodward's Cancer Support

Brenden is a loving 5 year old boy who is currently undergoing treatment for Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer (RMS) in his left cheek. He'll continue chemotherapy until late June 2018. A lump was found in the summer of 2017 by his mother, Shashanah, when applying sunscreen. CBS recently did a story on Brenden:

Brenden was taken to his pediatrician, who could not identify the lump. When taken to an ENT, the doctor thought it was a cyst. Upon surgery several days later, the discovery was made that the lump was in fact a tumor.
Since then, numerous tests have concluded that the cancer was not found in the blood, marrow, or lymph nodes. This is great news, as Brenden has been identified as a Stage 1 Group 2 cancer patient. However, cell type was identified as Alveolar (instead of embryonic), which requires a more aggressive treatment as Alveolar cell types are more aggressive in their development.
This has required Brenden to undergo radiation for 20 days, which he has recently finished. Though his radiation is finished, he'll continue with chemotherapy until late June 2018. He is currently healing from the radiation process, which has left his face red and dry in appearance. Brenden remains happy and strong through the process.
However, insurance only goes so far and not everything is covered. The bills are now beginning to come in. We need any help you are willing to give to help support Brenden's medical bills. Without the support of folks like you, it is likely our family will be buried in tens of thousands of dollars in debt as we try to pay off the bills and still provide for our family's needs.
