Help Brenda Kick Cancer's Ass

Brenda Lyter is a loving wife, mother, Nonna, daughter & friend. She is ALWAYS volunteering her time in our community & the Lyters stay super busy doing things for others. While it is difficult for them to ask for financial help, there is literally no other option at this time.

During this giving season PLEASE consider donating any amount because it all makes a BIG difference!

On Fri., 11/10, one of my very best friends in the world, Brenda, started complaining about bad stomach pain. On Wed., 11/14, blood work & a CT scan were ordered.  When the CT scan showed a spot on her appendix, a colonoscopy was done on Fri., 11/17. The colonoscopy revealed that there was cancer in her abdomen.  Brenda was admitted to the hospital on Sat., 11/18, where another CT scan was performed in order to determine the type of cancer.  The appointment with the Oncologist Tues., 11/21 revealed devastating news - Adenocarcinoma with Signet Ring Cells, Stage 4A, a very rare strain that had metastasized and spread throughout her abdomen.

Brenda is IMMEDIATELY in need of incredibly costly special procedures, Debulking Surgery followed by HIPEC treatment, to help her fight the disease. These treatments, which must be performed in Washington, DC, will require numerous trips out of town and incur major medical expenses. Brenda is not able to work and the Lyter's insurance company has DENIED coverage.

Words cannot express the urgency of this situation & the hurt within the hearts of Brenda's husband of 26 years, three sons, her daughter-in-law, 3 grandchildren, her mom & dad, other family members and her countless friends. 

I also ask that everyone lift up Brenda & her loved ones in prayer at this time. Lord, we pray that you shed your Almighty light on Brenda's caretakers during this time. I pray that you will use her doctors to provide healing & wisdom so that Brenda can continue being a servant of her community & loving her family. In Jesus's name I pray. Amen and AMEN!

Brenda is a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and serves on the board of directors for a local non-profit foundation. She also volunteers her time with other local charity events. She is the mother to 3 boys and a wonderful grandmother to 3 grandchildren.
