Hi, my name is LaShonne I am here because my mother's doctor told us we need to get help for her. Many of you know what we have been dealing with for the past seven years

For those who do not I will share a little something with you.
My mother was originally diagnosed with AML (acute myeloma Leukemia) in about 2016. She hit the ground running and stood on her faith. After several rounds of aggressive Chemotherapy she went into remission. We praised God for the victory and started on with life's journey. She had to go every 6 months then transferred to every year for the next five years to make sure the cancer stayed at bay. Test after test she was victorious and went on to share the good news of God. Then something changed at her final visit ( the doctors told her if she stays in remission for five years she would be good) she received the news no one wanted to hear, the cancer had returned.
Now we were on to the next journey ahead of us. The doctors said we had to be aggressive so now it was time to find her a stem cell match. Without there being a match out there it was time for everyone to get tested. As being her only daughter and having children of my own I was told that I would not be a possible match, but we tried anyway. After waiting it turned out that I was the closest match, 7/10. I felt honored to help my mother and knew it was God who had His hand in this situation. We both went through the process with mine being a bit transformative in nature. After they removed the stem cells from my body 16,000, which is a bit amazing to see, it was time for the medical team to do their job and prepare the stem cells for my mom and the rest of them for what ever they could achieve in the world of science.

My mother's body went through so much, lost of appetite, no energy, nausea and vomiting, extreme weight loss and trips back to the hospital for maintenance. After all of this she celebrated one year cancer free and was on to a new life AML free. This new life did come with some bumps. Now she had to deal with her eyes not producing tears which caused scratching of her cornea and severe vision issues. This was a result of Graph vs Host disease(GvHD). This happens in several people who receive a transplant. She finally received her new lens through phone calls and prayers for some financial assistance, they were not the ones we wanted but they will help.

Now we come to today 11/13/23. She took a turn in another direction. Life has thrown a curve ball and we are here today. My mother who is a friend to many, a supporter, a prayer warrior, a grandmother and great grandmother, is now in ICU at Methodist Hospital. Over the last few days she just got weaker and weaker not eating not getting around just all of the things that should not be going on. We are standing on our faith and believing God for a miracle. He did it before and can do it again. We have seen first hand what God can do so we will continue to pray. So I ask you to pray and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We know there is nothing to hard for God.

Yes I have told you all these things and I am just hoping you can find it in your heart to give something. This would be a big help for us and her. No I don't have a picture of what she is going through right now, with wires lines and tubes everywhere. We see her as the fighter she has always been.

Thank you for your time, gifts and prayers.
