Brenda Lee (Barto) Haas, age 52, of Morgantown, West Virginia passed away Monday, February 12th, 2018 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown after a valiant battle with numerous illnesses. It should be known that although her spirit was strong and willing, her body just wasn’t up to the task.
She was born on April 19th, 1965, daughter to Paul and Edith (Watkins) Barto of Blacksville, West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years, John Wesley Haas; two daughters, Breanna Ashley Hart and her husband Zachary Hart, and Elisha Leigh McKenzie and her husband, Joshua McKenzie; two sons, Alexander Westley Haas, and Jacob Ryley Haas; two sisters, Penny Kormylo and her husband, Nick Kormylo and their two children, Brett and Jared Rinehart, and Sandy Kokoska and her husband Paul Kokoska and their two children, Dallas and Devon Kokoska; and one brother, Mark Barto and his wife Christy Barto and their two children Rowan and Duncan Barto.
Brenda was a resident of Morgantown, West Virginia at the time of her passing. She graduated as Co-Valedictorian from Clay-Battelle High School in 1983 and was a stay at home mom, where she enjoyed raising her four children and volunteering in their school functions.
Brenda was an avid reader of all things literature and an extremely talented artist and crafter. She loved her family and friends, and her heart welcomed anyone and everyone. She was a bleeding heart who could never turn away an animal in need, especially her four cats, Duke, Phoebe, Buddy, and Sam.
Brenda’s request for cremation has been honored by her family.
Friends may join the family to honor her life and legacy at 318 Dove Drive, Morgantown, West Virginia, 26508 on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
