Hi, my name is Julie Schuldt, and I have one of the greatest Mother's in the world; Brenda Fox (aka, the wonderful Foxy Mama). We lived at the lovely home of 1620 Keoke Court, Santa Rosa, California; right in the wonderful neighborhood of Coffey Park. Our beautiful home, and our entire neighborhood, has been burnt to ashes from the Tubbs Fire.
My mom is the biggest blessing of my entire life. She has sacrificed endlessly, always, for me and my brother. She forgores buying clothes for herself, she forgoes her own comforts, she forgoes her own needs, to make sure me and my brother have the best life possible. If ever tradegy stuck anyone she'd ever met or loved, she would pour all her love into making them a quilt; because that was what she could do to show she cared, and that she was there.
On the horrible Monday morning of October 9th, her house burned down, and in her five minutes to evacuate, hardly anything was saved. This morning, when I spoke to her on the phone, she started crying and apologized to me for not saving my memory boxes, which I'd been collecting since I was 8. Nevermind that she lost everything, and I'm safe at school in San Diego; she cries because she couldn't save my sentimental items.
I can't do much to help all the way in Southern California. I can't do anything to help financially. But I can ask all of you for help. We've lost everything. We don't have insurance to get anything back. So please, if you can think back to one moment of kindness from my mother--which, if you've ever met her, I know you can--or if you haven't, if you can think of a moment when I've been kind to you--because I promise, the goodness in me came from her--please consider donating even a small amount.
Any money from this would be used to help keep my family back home in place, help them find a new home, and help them start to replace everything that's been lost.
I know it's a lot to ask with everything happening. I feel uncomfortable asking for help like this. But I don't know what else I can do. I just want, with your help, the abiltiy to give back to my mom the selflessness she's always freely given.
