Hi,
My name is Breigh-Ellen Penman and I am a 16 year old ballet dancer from Sydney, Australia. Just like any other ordinary 16 year old girl I have a dream. For as long as I can recall my ultimate goal was to become a student at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow, Russia. Being a student at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy would be a dream come true and a life changing opportunity for me to further my ballet studies.
For the past 14 years of my life I have been working tirelessly to turn this dream into a reality and so I am very honoured and proud to announce that the hard work has finally paid off! This July I had an amazing opportunity to take part in the Royal Danish Ballet Summer Intensive in Denmark and the Bolshoi Ballet Academy Summer Intensive in Russia. I had an incredible experience at both these summer intensives and loved learning new ballet techniques from inspiring faculty and making new friends. But out of both these places I bet it comes as no surprise to you all that it was in Russia I felt most at home. As soon as I walked through the double doors at the entrance of the Academy there was no doubt in my mind that Bolshoi was where I wanted to study. I fell in love instantly and never wanted to leave. Luckily enough I was one of few Australians to ever be accepted into the Academies Year Round International Traineeship Program of ‘CHOREOGRAPHIC ART’! This means that my lifelong dream will be coming true as I move to Russia this September!
The only problem is I need your help!!!
The tuition fee for my first year at this prestigious school is $30,000 which includes boarding and on top of this there are general expenses that include food, pointe shoes, flights and other necessities. My family and I would greatly appreciate some help as we cannot come up with this money on our own. My family has already sacrificed sooooo much for me in order to achieve my dreams and so I’m looking to people like yourself to help us out. I promise that your donations will not go to waste as I plan to make the most out of this opportunity. So please help me out with this as any donations are a huge help to me no matter how small. I cannot express to you enough how much it means to me so thank you.
