<div>As some of you have heard I was recently diagnosed with Heart Failure. On the morning of April 10th, I woke up with an intense migraine and no feeling on the left side of my body, and a heavy feeling on my chest, it was hard to breathe. Geoff quickly rushed me to the hospital. They told me that they believe I was having a “Waking Stroke”, but something else more serious was going on with my heart.

<div>After numerous test, cat scans, MRIs, blood work, and a heart Echos, they found that my heart was only working at a merely 15%. My cardiologist said it was one of the craziest cases he’s seen and he was surprised I was alert. Even scarier was when he said the words “heart transplant”. Thankfully we are taking a different path first and I’ll be wearing a device called the Zoll. It’s vest I wear that is constantly monitoring my heart, it will also shock my heart if my heart stops or has an irregular rhythm (a defibrillator). I have to wear this wearable defibrillator 24/7. It’s been a hard adjustment but I’m thankful for this device that watches over me day and night. After being in the hospital for a week, I was finally able to go home with plethora of new medication keeping my ticker ticking. I’m so glad to be home with my babies. They are so incredibly strong.

<div>As of today I had heart surgery on Dec 3rd to receive a pacemaker/defibrillator implant. I have been slowly recovering as the surgery was intense and was more aggressive then expected. Every day has been a struggle to find strength to get up and do daily activities. Although I’m healing I’m still unable to work.

<div>Due to my condition I have not been able to work or contribute financially and has set us back drastically. We have fallen behind in lot rent and now risk losing our home we have raised our kids in. 
</div>

<div>I’m a very humble person and asking for help has never been something that I have been good at. But unfortunately I’m not able to work and financially, this is a hit for our family. Love on my babies, invite them out so they are not stuck inside.
