Hope for Connie's Alzheimer's

Donation protected
This is a story of HOPE !

Time is never on your side when confronting Alzheimer's Disease (AD).   Connie's mother passed away in 2008 from Alzheimer's Disease after a struggle of almost 12 years.  Connie's progression towards AD is
a mirror-image of her Mom's.

20 years of research looking for one pill for one cause of AD, and coming up completely empty-handed doesn't offer much in the way of Hope.

The research scientists are the real heros here.  Those that are willing to step outside the box.  The Bredesen Protocol is one result of this new line of research.

The attached video is an introduction to a compelling case-study.  Compelling for me because it mirrors Connie's and her Mom's experience.  From the journal AGING (google: AGING, September 2014, vol6, n9) comes a complete breakdown of  Case Study #1, including the victim's custom Bredesen Protocol Therapeutic Program to reverse the loss of memory and the progression of Alzheimer's Disease.  The detailed case study is presented on pages 710 & 711 of the above article. I can forward  a PDF  of this article and others related to the Bredesen Protocol to anyone interested.

The Bredesen Protocol was recommended to us by Dr. Dave Schubert, Professor and Laboratory Head of Dave Schubert's Cellular Neurobiological Laboratory at the prestigious Salk Institute.  In his email to us recommending the Bredesen Protocol he ended with:  "You need to do something about your wife right away before the disease gets worse".

Connie hopes to start on her own Bredesen Protocol in 2 weeks.   Significant results from this case study were seen in as little as 3 months.

As the disease progresses each new stage is magnified.   Each new stage always requires not only more care but also creates the need to develop new strategies, mostly on the fly.

Connie's cognitive decline is the scariest part for me.

The owner of the facility where Connie's mother was a permanent resident, froze her monthly rent at $3,600 a month in 2004.  Advancing Alzheimer's, at some point, always requires 7/24 care whether at home or an outside facility.  This fact is what makes Alzheimer's care the most expensive of all.   All these related expenses affect you on a daily basis.

A donation of any amount,  is much appreciated.  Any donor, who desires, will be placed on an "Update" list as we track Connie's progress.

The urgency is "RIGHT NOW".  Our son Tyler said it best:  "This is our last line of Defense !!".
