This is very difficult for me to do. I've always been an altruistic person. I'm very uncomfortable and actually embarrassed that it has come to this.

I have been out of work for two and a half years due to respiratory failure episodes. I have been in and out of the ICU on six separate occasions. I've been confined to my apartment since 2022, attached to an oxygen machine. I lost my teaching and coaching jobs due to this condition, and it has taken a toll on my psyche and physical body. Without a regular paycheck each month, I've been stretching out my disability pay to barely scrape by for the last three years.

Now I have the non-VA hospitals threatening to send me to collections if I don’t pay the bill from the four separate institutions. It is becoming overwhelming as I have gone through every avenue to plead my case to the institutions. If you are like me and barely scraping by, please don’t donate to this; just send healing thoughts and prayers. If you can afford to make a donation, I humbly thank you. Even a lot of small donations add up to a lot!

I have poured all of my energy into my teaching and coaching career for 23 years. I look forward to continuing to pay it back when the doctors finally figure out how to cure me. I appreciate all of the people I have been around in my profession and personal life. This is very hard for me to put out there, but I feel like it’s my last resort. Thanks for reading this and thanks for helping.
