I'm in flagstaff medical center because of pneumonia and a severe case of copd. Please folks don't smoke, I quit in 2014, and I'm still sick as can be. I seriously thought I was going to die, I have been here since the day before Thanksgiving. I will be here for at least another 5 to 7 days. As my family and friends know, I am small and I need oxygen I can carry around with me when I need to go grocery shopping or to a doctors appointment. The machines are called oxygen concentrators and medicare or my supplemental does not cover them. The old oxygen tanks, and that is what they are, tanks, are cumbersome and heavy. Heck, they are close to being as big as me and run out of oxygen in half an hour if im lucky, then I'm up the creek with no oxygen! So I'm thinking the answer to this problem is to get the oxygen concentrator, which gets oxygen from the air around me and plugs into the car cigarette lighter if need be. But they are expensive, more expensive than I can afford. I thought I really was going to die, and I am so thankful to be here to ask for any help available.
