Lungs for Kelly!!!

I am raising money for my sister, Kelly Ladner to get a lung transplant. My sister was born with a Genetic disorder called Alpha 1. In laymen terms her liver doesn't make the enzyme that makes her lungs pliable. So her lungs are like an 80 year old with emphysema even though she never smoked. My sister didn't find out that she had this disorder until 2014. She had been diagnosed with Asthma when she was young and thought that was why she had problems breathing sometimes. Kelly has 5 children and 9 grandchildren and she is a single mom. Her youngest daughter, Juliette is 12.  Insurance will pay for the transplant but there are many expenses that she has to pay for in order to get a lung transplant. UCSF would like her to have 10,000.00 to 12,000 in a medical fund in order to  complete her planning for her post transplant care.  Kelly and a caretaker will need to live in San Francisco for 2 months and be no more than 15 mins from UCSF. SF is Expensive as you know so they just want to see that she will be able to afford lodging and meals for 2.  She has been working to get on this list for 3 years and has done everything else to meet the criteria (Including losing 90 lbs) Since Kelly has been on full time oxygen and in and out of hospitals she has been on full disability. As a single Mom this financial obligation is a huge hurdle for her.  Kelly and her daughter moved in with me and my husband and son in Feb. of 2017 in order for me to become her caretaker and she has been working hard and saving every penny she can in order to get this transplant. Her biggest hope is to have the chance to see her daughter to adulthood and to spend anytime she has left on this earth with her children, grandchildren and family.  If you can find it in your heart to help out we will genuinely appreciate it.
