Hats for Chemo Patients

Breast Friends understands that humor is one of the keys to surviving a cancer journey.  As they say, “Laughter is the best medicine.” Indeed it is. That is why Breast Friends developed the Hat Project.

Breast Friends receives about 500 hat requests per year.  We send these hats out free of charge to female cancer patients who are in active treatment and experiencing hair loss from chemotherapy (within the United States only please*).

The cost of our Hat Project is over $5,000 per year. Our GoFundMe goal would ensure our Hat Project would be funded through for about two years.

"Thank you VERY MUCH for the cap...it is so cute. I will wear it with pride. You do a wonderful thing for people going through cancer...you just can't believe the happiness a person receives when the cap arrives. Such a positive thing you do for everyone. I can not thank you enough...AND you sent pamphlets with even more helpful info. I didn't know that all this was out there...thank you so much."...Jeri - Breast Cancer Survivor & Hat Recipient
