<div>October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year we’re coming together to support Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) — whose work brings comfort, connection, and vital resources to people navigating breast cancer.

<div><em>“In 2015, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer at age 46. BCNA reached out to me with compassion and support — offering information packs, 24-hour helpline access, family support, and more. Their care and connection meant the world to me during that time.”</em>

<li>Every day in Australia, 58 people are told they have breast cancer. <em>(BCNA)</em>
</li>
<li>In 2024, about 21,194 new cases are expected (20,973 women and 221 men). <em>(Cancer Australia)</em>

<li>Approximately 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. <em>(nbcf.org.au)</em>

<li>The 5-year relative survival rate is around 92%. <em>(Cancer Australia, BCNA)</em>

<div>At Grind Pilates Co, we believe in the power of movement. Exercise is not only safe but also beneficial for many breast cancer patients and survivors — when tailored with care. We follow the American College of Sports Medicine Cancer Exercise Guidelines, and our instructors are ready to offer modifications and private support when needed.
