We have a small group of women starting a day in August at 4 am for a ladies only fishing tournament for breast cancer research. We are not skilled fisherwomen by any means, but we will try our best to be on the big day! The event is called the Poor Girls' Open.
The Poor Girls Open is an open sea fishing tournament in Ocean City, MD that raises funds for breast cancer research. 2017 is the 24th year for the Poor Girls Open, and with the trusted guidance of Shelly Conaway, this will be our 3rd year taking part in this event.
Our hope is that you will join in our support of breast cancer research by making a donation to our cause. Funds will go toward tournament registration, the American Cancer Society, and organization of fishing charter and captain. We will have one full day on the water between August 17 and 19, 2017, regardless of the weather!
We appreciate any support you can give. Our team consists of the following dedicated ladies:
It is worth the adventure, and the nausea!
We will document our day on Facebook with photos and video. Our hope is that you will share the day with us by donating and showing us your support on Facebook and sharing this link with friends.
With gratitude and in support of our survivors,
