Breast Cancer 32 and could happen to you

Donation protected
On March 14, 2019, our beautiful Leah was given news that every woman fears and one that has completely turned her world upside down - "Leah, I am so sorry, but it’s cancer”. From going to get an ultrasound, for something completely different and coming out with this is heart breaking. No family history. No lump. No obvious sign of cancer!

For any woman at any age, this news would be devastating. At only 32 years young, Leah was diagnosed with a grade 3 triple positive invasive ductal carcinoma. It’s an aggressive type of breast cancer and she has already started her many rounds of chemotherapy. Leah has a very long road ahead, but we all know that "She’s got this!”

Just have one conversation with her since her diagnosis and you will see and hear her strength! Follow her journey on Facebook at “ Breast cancer 32 it could happen to you” and just see how amazing she really is!

For everyone fortunate enough to know Leah, know what a kind, loving and caring woman she is. In her career as a nurse, she has always brought energy, understanding and compassion to her patients. She loves what she does, and it’s so clear when you see her with her patients how much compassion and love she has.

Leah is a supportive friend, a loving partner, daughter and sister, and the most incredible mother a child could ever ask for. Always one to drop everything for anyone and help when needed.

For her three young children ages 8, 5, 1 and her whole family, it’s been extremely difficult.
Now more than ever, Leah needs our help!

A cancer diagnosis itself is one of the most difficult burdens to bare; unfortunately, the financial burden is almost as heavy. With only being back at work for 3 weeks after having 12 months of unpaid maternity leave and receiving this diagnosis the amount of financial stress is building.

The funding from your contributions will go towards mortgage, daily living and medical expenses.

Leah is trying to maintain as much normality in her children’s life as possible throughout this time.

Leah has touched so many people, cared for them, and loved them. With no hesitation. No questions asked.

Now it is our turn to show her how loved she is and give her the extra love and strength as a community so she has what she needs to beat this cancer!

Thank you for your support :)
