Brea's Jorney

Our princess, Brea Noelle Dodero, was born April 25th, 2019 at Rose Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Shortly after she arrived she needed to be on oxygen due to her oxygen levels being low. Within the next day the hospital discovered a heart murmur and she had some testing done. They had to relocate us to Presbyterian St Luke’s Hospital so we could be seen by a Cardiologist. We stayed at PSL for two days and had a great experience with their nursing staff. We cannot say enough about how grateful we are for their grace and care. While at PSL many tests were performed and the conclusion was made that Brea had Congenital heart disease and that she needed to undergo either a series of surgeries or a heart transplant. Once we found this out, we had to make the decision to perform her surgery at PSL or move her to Children’s Hospital. If you are at all familiar with our family then you know that Children’s Hospital has always been our go to location for our two older boys. Vinny, our ten year old, has a genetic eye disease and sees an amazing doctor at Children’s and Brody has heart disease as well. With Brody’s Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease, he also sees an amazing Cardiologist at Children’s. So you can understand our wanting to relocate Brea when presented with the option.  We are now at Children’s Hospital. We are so very grateful for all the texts, messages, phone calls, prayers and support everyone is sending. Please pray for our baby girl, our family and the team at Children’s Hospital. 

We know that there is a long road ahead and that staying in the hospital will entail a very large financial burden on our family. Any funds that are raised will pay for the medical bills for Brea. Any and all support means so much to us. We are eternally grateful for all the love and support from everyone.
