Bre & Trevor House Fire Recovery Fund

On January 15th we had a terrible attic fire during a blizzard that burned up and destroyed our new home in Portland, OR including a music studio and all our music gear. Ruined all our clothes, furniture and personal belongings, kitchenware, cookware, plates, appliances, and all dry goods; everything was destroyed with fire, smoke, water, ice, and foam. Old keepsakes and children's artwork, books, records, and photographs. The house couldn't be boarded up for days due to the storm and water/ice finished off whatever fire and smoke hadn't already consumed. Thankfully we weren't home when it happened and everyone and the pets are safe!
The Backstory:
A giant fir tree had fallen a couple days prior onto our neighbors house, completely crushing their bedroom and cutting the house in two. They were not home, thank God. We decided to hole up in a local motel due to the abundance of old growth trees behind the houses on our block. Wind gusts of 50 mph were swaying these 150 ft. trees to the point of danger. On the third night when we almost came home, we had the intuition, guidance, and good sense to stay one more night despite wanting to be back in our house. At midnight our neighbor called us to let us know the house was completely engulfed in flames and fire service was already en route...smoke filled the block... An attic fire of unknown origin, possibly electrical, sparked and roared quickly, destroying both attics and caving in the ceiling as well as completely burning up our partially finished garage recording studio.
Lost Music Gear:
Instruments lost included a restored 1906 Victorian Schiller Piano, a Taylor 500 series Acoustic, a custom shop Fender Telecaster, and countless other guitars, bass, organ, keys, multiple tube amps and speakers, drums, mics, cables, stands, computer and high-end recording gear.
Now:
We've been living out of our suitcase ever since, and have landed at a month-to-month Air BnB. It's extremely expensive to lose your kitchen, house, clothes, shoes, workspace, and work tools all on the same day, and then have to recoup and recover mentally, physically, spiritually and ultimately materially.
Needless to say, we're tired, and weary, though grateful to be alive.
We would be so extremely grateful and appreciative of your donations to help us buy some new music gear, a lot of our stuff was irreplaceable but we need the basics like a new guitar, keyboard, interface and microphones, to get back up and running;
And to recoup for the many losses and expenses including lodging, food, take-out, and clothing of the last month and going forward until we find a new home and workspace. It's difficult to fully describe the loss and not being able to cook in your house, and losing our shared sense of security, and all we've cultivated and accumulated in our family home as a couple, and with our children.
Thanks from the bottom of our hearts !!
