Braxton Young Memorial

Friends,

Recently one of the members of the Ricklefs Excavating Family suffered a great loss. Derek and Kylie Young lost their 11-week-old infant, Braxton, to a very rare disease, Williams Syndrome, which affects less than 1 in 10,000 newborns and in even rarer cases, such as Braxton's, results in Pulmonary Stenosis, which is a narrowing of the veins that results in reduced circulation.

The symptoms arose approximately 3 weeks ago and once the cause was identified by practitioners, Braxton was taken to the University of Iowa to undergo surgery to correct the condition.  Upon arrival Tuesday night, the Doctors found that Braxton’s condition had progressed farther than previously thought and was too weak to undergo the surgery.

The doctors and family pursued every avenue they had to help Braxton, but on Wednesday evening he succumbed to the effects of Williams Syndrome.

It is times like these that we, as friends, parents and family, must come together to help reduce the outside burdens that come with the hospitalization, funeral and other expenses.  We are asking that if you are able, donate what you can to assist in offsetting the financial burden for the Young Family so that they may focus on their healing with as little stress as possible.

We appreciate any help you can provide.

Thank You and God Bless.
